COMMENTS
Mono / Stereo press with red label.
Sgt. Peppers was the only LP of the 60's that did not get a sleeve made in France; the covers either came mainly from Germany, as well as some from the U.K. and it wasn't until the picture disc versions of that LP that it got a domestically producted sleeve.
In January of 1966, Odeon replaced their earlier label with a red label and their logo with a logo that more closely resembled the logos used in other countries. The red label appears on all Odeon releases of the time, but when France took up the EEC numbering in 1969, they stopped using the original catalog numbers on Beatles releases.
Sgt. Peppers constitutes a special case, because there also exists a French variant of the UK-style black and yellow Parlophone label.
